Masala Lassi

Lassi is a drink prepared from curd or buttermilk and has cooling effect especially in the scorching summers of Punjab. A big glass of lassi with lunch was a regular after we came back from school in the hot summer afternoons. Lassi can be prepared in numerous ways but the below is my all time favorite recipe with masalas that are used every day in your kitchen.
Preparation time: 5 minutes

  • 2 cups thick curd
  • ½ cup water
  • Salt to taste
  • ¼ tsp Black pepper
  • ¼ tsp Cumin powder
  • ¼ tsp Coriander powder
  • ¼ tsp Cardamom powder

  • Blend all the ingredients together with 2-3 cubes of ice. Serve chilled.
