Dahi wali Arbi

Preparation time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:
  • 8-10 roots of arbi, boiled, peeled and cubed
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 2Green chilies chopped
  • 1 tbsp Ginger chopped
  • 1 cup beaten curd
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • Salt
  • Oil                 
  • Coriander for garnish

Dry Masala:
  • 1 black cardamom
  • 2 cloves
  • ½ tsp coriander seeds
  • ¼ inch stick cinnamon
  • 4-6 black pepper corns
  • 1tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 green cardamoms
  • ¼ tsp hing powder

Method:
  • Grind all the ingredients of dry masala.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add the ground masala. Stir for few seconds till the aromas rise (do not let it burn). 
  • Add green chilies and ginger and fry for few seconds. Add the tomato puree and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add turmeric, salt and curd. Let it boil. 
  • Add boiled arbi, 1/2 cup of water and stir. Cover the pan and cook on medium for 10- 15 minutes.
  • Garnish and serve hot.
